Contract Administration
While the contractor is responsible for physically building the facility, we make sure that the project is constructed according to the drawings and specifications. An Architect will make periodic site visits to review the contractor’s application for payment, and keep you informed of the progress through field reports and photographs. In addition, we review the contractor’s shop drawing submittals, product data and samples to ensure that the quality of the products being used meets or exceeds the specifications. Upon completion of the project, we will conduct inspections to determine if and when the project is “Substantially Complete”. We will prepare a Punch List containing items which are considered incomplete, or not meeting specs. When the work is found to be substantially complete, we will inform you about the balance of the contract sum due to the contracto. Also, we will receive from the Contractor, and forward to you, all legal documents for project closeout.
